The Youth Empowerment Foundation
The private sector plays an integral ro;e in the development of every economy. The innovative capacities, human resources, knowhow and technological input are potentially other contributions. The private sector is identified as an actor in development, which drives sustainable economic growth by bringing opportunities in value creation (jobs, goods and services, tax revenue etc.).
Cameroon’s Private Sector plays a central role in her National Sector Development Strategy (NDS30 2020-2030). After 3 years of slow economic growth largely due to the effects of COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine.
The growth of the Private Sector remains a vital solution to the problems of poverty and unemployment across Cameroon and Africa at large.
Cameroonians must therefore embrace entrepreneurship as a civic responsibility and see beyond just profits.
The jobs created and overall output of your business plays a major role in the overall economic development of Cameroon.
Entrepreneurship remains a vital instrument in the fight against poverty, unemployment, hunger and many other social issues in Cameroon and Africa at large.
Inline with the objectives of Cameroon’s National Development Strategy (NDS30), which gives central role to the development of the Private Sector.
Our primary objective as the Youth Empowerment Foundation remains: Creating awareness about business opportunities available in Cameroon’s vast and diverse economic landscape while engaging and equipping startups and SMEs with the right tools to enable them succeed.
