400,000 Hectares of Land to be Allocated for Investors in Agro-Sector
As the implementation of the first phase of the government to create 1.131 million hectares of land for medium and large-scale agriculture, the government has opened the procedure for the allocation of 400.000 hectares of Land along the Batchenga-Ntui-Yoko-Tibati-Ngaoundéré corridor to private investors in Agro-industry sector.
As an incentive to attract Private sector investment, the announcement was made by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Gabriel Mbairobe.
With this initiative, the government shows its commitment to removing the barriers to private investment in agriculture, with the availability of land being one of the major factor barriers.
This incentive goes a long way in boosting investment in the agriculture sector as investors who seek to engage in medium and large agro-sector related projects will be granted access to ample land.
